Summary: The Competitive Intelligence Manager participates actively in supporting Vertexs commercial planning efforts by providing objective, in-depth information about current and future markets and competitive forces. The CI Manager will act as a strategic advisor to the commercial planning teams with deep expertise in current and future competitive drivers in the market place as well as functional expertise in how to use CI to develop competitive strategies.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:o Provide an objective commercial viewpoint based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of commercial, clinical, and scientific competitive information.o Make recommendations to product development team based on findings related to competitive information.o Liaise with CI counterparts to ensure up-to-date competitive intelligence and assumptions are shared with all appropriate teams.o Collaborate with product and CI team to plan for strategic war games and supporting competitive readiness plans.o Lead competitive threat assessments to develop team assumptions about key competitors.o Field intelligence facilitation, training and guiding the field force on conducting CI in line with company policy.o Work on innovative programs to increase the value of competitive intelligence processes and practice, and analyze the success of these programs. Liaise across departments to deliver holistic analytic insights to the brands. Inform, communicate, and collaborate with internal partners.o Present key data and findings to senior managemento Develop competitive analysis and competitive intelligence tools using industry best practiceso Acts as strategic thought partner to teamso Collaborates closely with the CI team to bring Competitive Info to Vertex.
