Title: Director - Strategy & Competitive Intelligence
Location: Atlanta, GA
Summary: This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting competitive intelligence within Cox Communications strategic planning process. The breadth of scope includes all services and segments within the portfolio. Expectations of results include developing and maintaining processes and policies to collect, synthesize and interpret strategic options intelligence on key and emerging competitors. This leader will be an active member of the Strategy team researching and responding to emerging opportunities or potential threats to the companys overall business plan. Focusing on results, collaborating cross functionally, and managing by influence, this leader will help develop processes, systems, and competencies in predicting and planning for competitive actions and responses. This role will establish and manage relationships and alliances with industry peers, key industry organizations, analysts, partners, and suppliers to ensure that Cox is able to influence these market participants based on our overall strategies and growth plans. It is a resource to all product lines within the overall portfolio to assess and make recommendations to enable achievement of the long term vision. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop and continuously improve the process to collect, analyze and interpret the current and emerging competitive environment. 2. Conduct strategic assessments to build key competitor profiles including patterns and predictions on how they will leverage, extend and protect their asset base. 3. Construct specific scenario and game theory activities to improve understanding of options and risk of potential competitor moves and reactions. 4. Benchmark competitive metrics, key strategies and competencies to proactively identify CCIs opportunities and threats. 5. Key contributor to CCIs strategy team and the creation of the company wide 3 to 5 year strategic plan. 6. Actively identify and utilize frameworks and tools to enhance the efficacy of the competitive intelligence processes.
