Title: Manager, Competitive Intelligence
Location: Redwood Shores, CA
Summary: The Manager of market intelligence at Saba reports to the VP of Business Planning within Marketing, and is responsible for providing fresh and frequent market intelligence to internal audiences including marketing, business units, sales, executives and the board of directors for the primary purpose of increasing Sabas revenue and market-share. The work includes collecting, analyzing and presenting information about Saba competitors and markets to inform business decisions, support programs and improve external positioning and win rates. This person will work closely with the Business Line Leaders and their teams (including product marketing and product management) to identify key competitors and needs in their respective areas. Responsibilities include: o Build and maintain a knowledge management system of product-specific, competitor-specific and general market data for the People Management/Collaboration market, including competitive positioning, pricing, market tactics and product functionality o Maintain an on-going dialog with the field, including timely responses to competitor and market events, using a combination of traditional tools and Saba Social. o Work with marketing, business units and sales teams to create tools to support marketing programs, product launches and key deals. o Run the Win/Loss program, including collecting and analyzing data on specific deals and managing third party relationships o Develop and present analytics for the executive team The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in market research and analysis with experience in the talent management and/or collaboration markets preferred.
