Title: Competitive Intelligence Analyst

Location: Round Rock, TX

Summary: The Market Insights team has an opening whose core responsibilities will encompass: • Competitive deep dives (Financial/structural analysis, forward looking growth and investment strategies, product development strategies, supply chain models, etc.) • Provide visibility to product line health & opportunities by producing both regular and ad hoc reports and analysis • Drive a thorough “outside-in” view to client product performance through competitive analysis and tools to optimize centralized marketing research data purchases • Managing the team’s research budget (own relationship, develop analyses, etc.) Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. In addition, candidate must have experience with various research methods; any specific technology research experience would be a plus. Candidate must have the ability to exercise independent judgment in analysis and approach to problem solving. Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision making is required. Minimum of a four year degree (Bachelors degree or equivalent, although a Masters is a plus) is required with at least 2-5 years of related experience. Ÿ It will require the ability to use both quantitative and qualitative internal and external data to provide quick, accurate & reliable information on market trends, competitive strategies, gaps & opportunities and forecast models. Ÿ Typical data will include IDC, Gartner, NPD, GFK and Internal Dell Data Sources.
