Title: Competitive Intelligence Manager
Location: Alameda, CA
Summary: Oversee and manage all aspects of Wind River’s market and competitive intelligence program, working closely with cross-functional groups to identify and analyze specific market and competitive trends, movements and strategies. Responsibilities Develop market and competitive intelligence program strategy and plan. Develop a disciplined system to collect and analyze intelligence on competitors' activities and plans, as well as communicate this information, tailored to the needs of the company. Collaborate with sales to gain field knowledge; provide relevant data to better inform sales and customers. Manage various internal communication channels, including intranet site for all research and analysis. Provide guidance and recommendations to executive management on competitive strategies. Skills Required 5+ years of experience in a research analyst capacity in a business environment. Experience in Competitive Intelligence desired. Ability to review large amounts of complex information, distil key facts, and summarize in a manner that’s relevant for various internal organizational functions. Strong understanding of general business concepts and ability to consider and present information in context to specific business needs and situations. Ability to work independently and within a team, while changing direction frequently; demonstrated ability to work cross functionally. Great analytical and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of secondary research methods and available data sources covering embedded and mobile technology, preferred. Well-rounded business professional with technical acumen and a passion for creating, mining, sharing and using sound, solid and accurate marketing data. Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills. BA/BS required.
