Title: Senior Competitive Intelligence Specialist

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Summary: The Competitive Intelligence Specialist will drive competitive intelligence information acquisition, analysis, and strategy development, program execution, and effectiveness measurements for the Neuromodulation business. Position Responsibilities: •Acquire and consolidate important competitive information from internal and external sources, including market and other public sources in the US and globally. •Identify and develop new sources of competitive insight or improved processes for existing methods •Develop and maintain up-to-date landscapes and analyses that characterize important aspects of competition for each market •Conduct competitive war games or other in-depth competitive analyses regularly •Drive development & execution of Neuromodulation competitive strategies & programs through collaboration with Sales, Marketing, R&D, BD and other functions within the organization to achieve and exceed global share objective •Communicate competitive intelligence information appropriately and effectively to internal and global audiences; lead periodic review meeting with Neuromodulation leadership; maintain competitive intelligence portal •Act as one of the main points of contact for Neuromodulation Competitive Intelligence •Integrate competitive intelligence into critical strategic business decision processes •Partner with Product Marketing, Sales Training and Sales Operations in field adoption & execution of competitive strategy •Manage and communicate performance metrics •Manage and maintain Competitive Intelligence Guidelines in partnership with Neuromodulation Legal, ensuring compliance with Medtronic policies Regularly evaluate current competitive intelligence processes and identify and execute improvements to better meet business needs •Work cross-functionally, pan- Neuromodulation and pan-Medtronic to develop competitive intelligence best practices •Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work. •Ability to travel up to 15% required. Basic Qualifications: •Bachelors Degree •4 years exempt level experience post-degree in the following areas: Medical (pharma or device) marketing (as Product Specialist or Product Planning Specialist) –OR-- Competitive Intelligence Specialist, Market Research Analyst, Business Development Analyst, or Sales Analyst
