Title: Director, Corporate Development
Location: Tempe, AZ
Summary: Assist in (a) strategy formulation, (b) strategy planning, (c) corporate development activity including mergers & acquisitions, and (d) other projects and strategic initiatives related to achieving profitable growth in new markets and businesses that extend 1 - 3 years and beyond. Manage the viable idea funnel and ensure that agreed to processes are adhered to. Work with multi-disciplinary teams (finance, legal, product management, product development, sales, marketing, strategic partners, etc) to create processes, gain consensus develop and plan strategic initiatives. Conduct strategic analysis, work with FP&A on business cases, and oversee long-term business intelligence research. Responsibilities:1. Assess industry trends, market size and structure, competitor benchmarks, and perform value chain analysis. 2. Facilitate the development of business plans for new business ventures. 3. Contribute to business growth by identifying & prioritizing potential business opportunities and evaluating potential investments & strategic partnerships; organizing corporate development meetings with potential partners & acquisition candidates; and participate as SME on planning efforts for these opportunities. 4. Develop and maintain working relationships with other functional groups within LL and with partner, client and vendor organizations. Ability to work effectively and gain credibility and respect of others. Ability to lead and persuade others, and positively influencing the outcome of team efforts. Requirements: Qualifications:1. Must have a Bachelors Degree and at least seven years experience from a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or experience from a premier Corporate Strategy group. 2. Superior problem solving and analysis skills - ability to create hypothesis for problem solutions and structure analysis to support those hypothesis, ability to rapidly gather, structure, and present data analysis to executives.
