Summary: The Competitive Intelligence Manager participates actively in supporting AMD’s channel strategy and planning efforts by providing objective, in-depth information about current and future market and competitive forces. The CI Manager will act as a strategic advisor to the channel marketing Directors and Sr. Managers providing deep expertise in current and future competitive drivers in the market place as well as functional expertise in how to use CI to develop competitive strategies. Research, analysis of competitive forces must address the following areas: - Channel coverage models, intensity and density. - Channel programs: objectives, design, funding models and levels, reach, etc. - Product roadmaps, assortment and availability. - Channel partner engagement and incentive programs: tiering, prioritization and benefits. - Marketing strategies: target audiences, regional funding levels, marketing mix, demand generation programs, etc. - Pricing strategies. - Industry trends and impact on competitive positions.
