Title: Marketing Research Competitive Intelligence Analyst III

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Summary: As a Marketing Research & Competitive Intelligence Analyst, you'll be a part of PNC's Consumer Product Management & Marketing organization. In this position, you will have the security and prestige of working for a name-brand company, ranked in 2008 by BusinessWeek magazine as one of the "Top 50 Performers," in any industry. You will be located at one of PNC's downtown office buildings. You will be able to take advantage of the convenience of the public transportation system, and after the work day, experience the cities many amenities such as five star restaurants, retail stores, sporting events and rich cultural district that offers a variety of entertainment. As a Marketing Research & Competitive Intelligence Analyst you will use your research skills to collect and analyze employee, customer, competitor, product, prospect and market data. Your sound communication skills will be used as you support the communications and implementation of insights that have been developed. You will have the opportunity to interact with the other members of your cross functional team as well as your business service partners as you participate in the various operational, marketing, sales and services initiatives. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: # Proficient in collecting data from multiple sources e.g.; primary and secondary research sources. . # Sound problem solving skills in conceptual and quantitative areas. # Working knowledge of specialized research software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Claritas, Minitab). # Proficient with MS Office suite, especially in Excel, Access and PowerPoint. # Working knowledge of basic research methods, both qualitative and quantitative. # Good oral and written communication skills. # Strong interpersonal and team skills. # Proactive in managing time and priorities for self. # Bachelor degree in related discipline, e.g. , Business, Marketing, Journalism, Economics, Social Sciences. MBA preferred with 5-7 years of marketing research experience # 8-10 years of marketing research experience.
