Title: Competitive Intelligence Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA
The Competitive Intelligence Manager chosen for this newly created key role is tasked with providing global marketing, sales and consulting with timely, accurate analysis and competitive profile on competitive landscape, including general industry trends, strategies to improve sales, and marketing effectiveness. The CI Manager will collect and analyze data and input from multiple external and internal sources and organize into actionable sales and marketing competitive information tools. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Collect and organize competitive data to develop a resource for use by solutions intelligence and others within Ariba. * Create a process & framework to share market and competitive information internally at Ariba. * Work with product marketing managers & solutions management when necessary to publish and maintain competitive ‘assessment’ for supporting the organization. * Maintain ‘competitive datasheets” to support sales people in competitive situations with targeted and actionable competitive intelligence. * Analyze, publish and maintain detailed profiles of major competitors, including recommendations on effective positioning of Ariba globally against those competitors. * Develop material on competitors to be leveraged through regular Ariba tele-briefings, presentations at sales meetings and sales training activities. * Produce regular, targeted digest of competitor news summarizing implications for Ariba and how to respond. * Manage win/loss analyses leveraging outside vendor(s). * Work with Ariba Global Analyst & Media Relations on material, including reports, presentations, and market messaging. * Identify additional primary and secondary research needed to understand market and competitors.
