Title: Director, Global Competitive Intelligence
Location: Perrysburg, OH

With the leading position in Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America, O-I manufactures consumer-preferred, 100 percent recyclable glass containers that enable superior taste, purity, visual appeal and value benefits for our customers products. Principal Accountabilities:
Develop the overall CI capability of the company at the global and multi functional levels.
Oversee the design and implementation of a company wide CI process and its supporting IT infrastructure.
Work with regional and functional leaders to identify, assign and train resources to support the CI process.
Set objectives for intelligence gathering, analysis and dissemination and carry them out on a regular basis. Continuous development of data collection and dissemination.
Translation of competitive information into intelligence and strategic recommendations. Ongoing intelligence reporting to executive leadership team and BOD.
Develop a network of external sources of CI and consultants. Lead key ad-hoc intelligence projects.
Use a variety of tools to obtain in ethical manner information required to support better strategic decision making.
Comply with ethical standards and the Economic Espionage Act of 1996 in all data collection activities.
Prepare reports and presentations for European senior management, global CI function and other regional units of the company
Provide regular reports of market dynamics / intelligence to the executive leadership team and BOD.
Key player of the strategic planning process, reporting market intelligence, developing foresight, anticipating competitive moves and making strategic recommendations.
Develop a network of CI contributors with all key functions / regions of the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. 15-20 years of experience, with at least five years leading teams in market analysis, intelligence and strategic planning, preferably as a leader of a competitive intelligence function in a Fortune 500 company.
2. Successful experience developing competitive intelligence capabilities in a manufacturing industry.
3. Bachelors degree
4. Must be willing to travel 20-30%

1. Experience in food & beverage industry
