Title: Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA
Summary: This Business Analysis & Information (BAI) team member will function as a key member of the North American biosimilars team. The Business Intelligence Sr. Mgr. will be the point person for all biosimilar-related business intelligence activities.
This person will:
- Create productive relationships with assigned US/Global marketing teams and product strategy teams to define business priorities and orchestrate the collection, analysis, and communication of business insights and information
- Apply structured problem solving approaches to key competitive questions
- Independently plan, design, and conduct multiple simultaneous complex projects, anticipating potential obstacles, and recommending actions to keep projects on track
- Manage external vendors and consultants to enable effective project execution
- Provide business insights based on project results with actionable recommendations to brand/business stakeholders - Execute cross functional scenario planning work-shops - Communicate key findings and insights to commercial leaders and Executives
- Ensure that both routine and ad-hoc projects meet service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget; Some travel required.
Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree & 2 years of directly related experience
OR
• Master’s degree & 6 years of directly related experience
OR
• Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of directly related experience
OR
• Associate’s degree & 10 years of directly related experience
OR
• High school diploma / GED & 12 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors degree or Advanced degree in marketing, statistics, social, life or behavioral sciences, or related field of study required
- 6 or more years experience, including competitive intelligence, marketing, market research and/or market analysis
- Able to simultaneously manage business intelligence projects
- Strong project planning, client management, and information analysis skills
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences - Able to glean actionable, strategic insights across a variety of business intelligence inputs,
i.e., competitive landscapes, competitor profiles, drugs in research, clinical trial activities, key investigators, etc.
- 3+ yrs of prior consulting and/or marketing experience
- Deep understanding of basic marketing concepts and business objectives
- Business intelligence experience in the biopharmaceutical or related healthcare industries
- Experience with and understanding biopharmaceutical international markets
- Demonstrated leadership in facilitating and leading large group activities (e.g., competitive simulation exercises)
- Proven ability to thoroughly analyze facts, integrate information, identify root causes and make strong, compelling recommendations
