Title: Market Intelligence Manager    

Location: Carlsbad, CA   

Summary: We are looking for a resourceful and detail-oriented Market Intelligence Manager to support a variety of critical projects. This manager will have a vital role in the company, as s/he will deliver time-sensitive information and analysis that will be incorporated into deliverables, on which we will base tactical and strategic decisions. This individual would work from internal and external databases, will use these resources to gather sales trend information, analyze market data, and create spreadsheets and data sets to inform forecast modeling. In addition, this individual will conduct primary and secondary market research projects to identify market and clinical trends and their implications. Ultimately, this individual will prepare clear and actionable analysis of research and communicate finds and directional guidance accordingly. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesNote: Other duties may be assigned. * Provide strategic guidance on and lead implementation of consistent methodology for research projects and initiatives including market and customer insights, message development and brand tracking audits * Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on medical reference laboratory industry * Provide marketing consultation on secondary and primary research sources, develop and implement market research plans * Centralize and maintain knowledge repository of standard processes and key learning * Conduct primary and secondary research utilizing internal and external databases in order to provide insights and analysis into research findings. * Support forecast assumptions and build forecast models * Coordinate and direct market research vendors that are commissioned to conduct customer interviews * Design and assist with the development of questionnaires and moderator guides for marketing interviews to ensure the necessary data is captured * Develop and manage biweekly marketing metrics dashboard * Negotiate with outside vendors and establishes performance milestones and timelines to ensure successful market research results and recommendations for new project development. * Liaison with market research vendors and builds and maintains a network of key opinion leaders across therapeutic areas in support of market research goals and objectives. * Build competitive assessments to assess client/competitor positioning in a particular market or for a given opportunity * Share key learning across stakeholder groups * Communicate research methodologies and findings in a compelling way, both verbally and in presentations
