Title: Marketing Director, Voice of Customer

Location: Milpitas, CA

Summary: The Marketing Director, Voice of Customer will Head up Market Research & Market Insights for US region. Lead market data management, analysis & projections. Competitive Intelligence & Analytics. Provide training and direction for all regional Market research personnel. Provide VOC input into US commercial strategies. This position will have 3 direct reports. The main job responsibilities of this incumbent will be Market Research; leading primary research for all stakeholders. Responsible for gathering competitive intelligence for US market. Educate internal clients on the capabilities and limitations of market research/customer knowledge. Project Management: Design, oversee implementation, analyze and communicate results of specific research projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree is required. Post graduate degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of marketing research/business analysis experience, including a minimum of 5 of these years in a corporate environment, is required. A minimum of 2 years of previous people management experinece is required. Thorough understanding of new marketing research design, processes and procedures is required. Previous experience working in the new market research design techniques developed by Procter & Gamble and its partners is preferred. Able to critically screen vendors and to assess proposals is required. Capable of synthesizing multiple sources of information and of formulating hypotheses is required. Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytic skills--including a problem-solving bent, as well as the ability and confidence to draw conclusions and formulate recommendations is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills and listening skills, are required. Develops open, positive and effective relationships at all organizational levels are required. Exhibits good negotiation skills and excellent time management skills is required. Can handle multiple tasks, demonstrates flexibility in readiness to prioritize and maintains a results-orientation is required. Consumer Research experience is required. Experience in global/multi-country research strongly preferred. Business-to-business research experience also a plus.
