Title: Associate Director, Commercial Insights & Analysis
Location: Marlborough, MA
Summary: As part of the Analytic Business Unit, provide strategic analysis to Sepracor's portfolio products and act as the key liaison between functional areas of Commercial Analytics (CA) and the rest of the Commercial organization. 1. Utilization of the following analytic/business intelligence tools to provide strategic, actionable insights: . Primary and secondary market research . Competitive intelligence . Long term product forecasting . Performance trending . Promotional activity measurement . Managed care analytics 2. Provide analytical support to other functions within Commercial Analytics in implementation: . Sales force targeting/alignment . Short term forecasting and quota setting . Promotional response analytics . Financial modeling . Market / product performance tracking / reporting 3. Partner and consult with the commercial organization on key strategic decisions: . Resource allocation planning . Life cycle management . Short-term brand development . Mid to long term strategic planning Essential Functions: Primary market research design and implementation - quantitative . Primary market research design and implementation - qualitative . Competitive intelligence design and implementation . Research/analytics project planning . Research/analytics budget management . Marketing/business consulting . Health care secondary audit data applications (i.e. IMS, WK and SDI) . Managed care data applications . Quantitative statistical analysis . Promotional activity tracking . Patient-level data applications . Utilization of analytic software (Excel-advanced, Access, SAS, etc.) . Presentation deck development Minimum education requirements Bachelors Experience required: 3 - 5 Years Knowledge & skills (general and technical): Ability to balance Business/Product objectives with appropriate research methodologies. . Ability to think critically, strategically and analytically. . Flexibility for changing priorities. . Excellent communication and presentation skills. . Manage multiple projects simultaneously. . Create and manage analytics plans and budgets. . Ability to perform autonomously. . Ability to mentor others in areas of functional expertise. Other requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry . Minimum of 5 years experience in a market research, business intelligence, or commercial analytics role . Strong experience and knowledge in managing primary market research . Respiratory or CNS market experience is a strong plus
