Title: Market Research Practice Leader
Location: Columbia, MD
Summary: Merkle is looking for two individuals to work conjunctively to lead its Market Research Practice Team. While both positions will focus on the building of the organization, the Practice Leader will specialize in leading teams and have extensive experience in building organizations while the Director of Market Research will be focused on research methodology and implementation. These senior candidates will help maximize the understanding of the targeted audience and ensure it is fully exploiting growth and revenue opportunities by1) building and refining customer insights capabilities in order to ensure a position in the target audience and 2) driving growth in the business environment. Our Top Candidates Will Specialize In: -Marketing planning, product development and key account management and translating data into unmet opportunity. -Building the organizational structure, functional capabilities and performance metrics to support commitment to growth and innovation as well as long-term value to the overall business. -Building on in-house capability. -Developing a competitive intelligence discipline, incorporating knowledge from these efforts into strategic recommendations for the business Presenting findings to senior management as a basis for strategic decision making. Skills/Requirements: 5-10 years in the Database Marketing Field. 5-10 years in the position of Market Research Practice Leader. Experience within the pharmaceutical industry a strong plus. Experience finding and developing actionable marketing insights. Ability to raise difficult issues with all levels of the organization in a candid and straightforward manner. Must have tremendous depth in the ability to think analytically and demonstrate an aptitude for diving into the details without losing focus on the larger goal. Experience building physician and consumer attitudinal and behavioral studies. Understanding of advertising effectiveness. Experience tracking a variety of studies.
