Title: Retail Marketing Senior Manager

Summary: General Description: The purpose of this position is to develop strategic marketing initiatives that maximize profitability and align with company goals, to provide visionary leadership in the execution of those initiatives, and to research and evaluate current market conditions including customer and competitor data in order to establish and maintain a competitive market position. Essential Responsibilities & Activities: Elicitation - Collect information relevant to the position's purpose (sales data, competitor data, panel data, syndicated research).Analysis and Validation - Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the effectiveness of current marketing plans, programs and initiatives; consulting business partners, managers, co-workers or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating and applying suggestions for improving cost-effectiveness. Communication - Convey interpreted value of collected information to business partners, managers and co-workers. Solution - Identify business needs by analyzing, interpreting and responding to sales data relative to goals; developing strategic initiatives based on the data to drive growth in profit and sales; tracking project and initiative performance and results on an ongoing basis; recommending adjustments to plans based on evaluation of performance. Planning - Partner with Retail Marketing Advertising Manager and Retail Marketing Merchandising Manager to develop departmental annual marketing/operating plan. Management - Provide supervision and development opportunities for Retail Marketing Events Managers and Retail Marketing Events Coordinators (indirectly) by selecting and training, mentoring, assigning duties, building a team-based work environment, establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations, providing recognition and rewards, coaching for success and improvement.
