Summary: The AOL Advertising
Director of
Strategic Insights
is responsible
for defining and
driving AOL’s
research agenda.
This position
will partner with
Sales Management
and Product
Development to provide
research
analysis and insights to
support ad sales.
Responsibilities
Serve
as the company expert on
best-
in-class research and analytic
techniques.
Keep
current on latest best
practices and be a visible and
proactive leader in the
research
industry.
Establish and
cultivate working
relationships
with agency and
client
researchers to gain insight
into their business, clients,
and
challenges.
Direct
qualitative and quantitative
research studies to inform
selling
strategies and uncover
new
opportunities for digital
ad sales
growth.
Support
sales teams with new and
creative research designed to
demonstrate the value of AOL
Advertising
solutions.
Direct analyses
to understand the
rationale
behind metrics and trends
to
actively incorporate the “voice
of the customer” into decision
making.
Provide insight
on AOL and its
competitors;
offer strategic
analysis and
recommendations.
Recommend
project plans to manage
the on-
going demands of daily ad
hoc
ad sales research needs.
Qualifications
Deep
Research Experience:
Minimum of 10 years
experience in
media
research.
Business and
Analytical Acumen:
Ability
to derive deep insights
from
vast quantities of data and
understand business
implications of
results and
trends.
Benchmarking and
Business
Intelligence:
Expert knowledge in
benchmarking
principles and
methodologies and of
business/industry practices.
Expert ability to obtain and
analyze market / competitive
information to help guide
business
decisions.
Communication
:
Excellent communication
and
presentation skills to
report
findings and influence
change
within the
organization.
