Title: Market Research Supervisor
Location: Maplewood, MN
Summary: 3M's Consumer Health Care Division (CHC) is responsible for global consumer self-care brands such as Ace™, Futuro™ and Nexcare™. This diverse product line includes bandages, tapes, wound care dressings, liquid bandages, skin creams, topical OTC drugs, hand sanitizers, thermometers, masks, braces and supports, hot/cold therapy, compression hosiery, and antacid.
3M's newly formed Pet & Gardening Business brands includes Garden Genius(TM), Nutri-Dog(TM) and the ability to leverage additional strategic brands including Scotch(TM), Filtrete(TM), Command(TM) and Scotch-Brite(TM). Our vision is to accelerate growth within these two established segments using current and new product platforms positioned for pet and garden enthusiasts.
We are looking for an experienced Market Research Supervisor to oversee market research for these two key businesses, providing expertise to ensure the proper methodology and research design will meet the information needs of the requestor. This individual will serve as a business partner to the marketing and new product group and manage the divisions' market research budget. The successful candidate will also ensure that the project list is in alignment with the divisions' program priorities and negotiate cost reductions from market research vendors.
The primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
* Creating, maintaining, and managing world-class marketing research.
* Promoting customer focus and insights across the consumer businesses.
* Increasing opportunities and/or decreasing risks within each business by better understanding of our customers/end-users, the market, and our competition.
* Providing global marketing research training and consultancy to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of marketing and/or sales programs.
* Coaching and training marketing personnel on the value and appropriateness of marketing research.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree
* Minimum of three years market research experience
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA in Marketing and/or Marketing Research
* Minimum of one year market research firm experience as a client and/or employee
* Minimum of one year consumer products market research experience
* Minimum of one year experience measuring brand health
* Minimum of one year brand analytics experience
* Ability to effectively communicate key market research findings to a diverse audience
* Ability to transfer market/business questions into a research plan
* Understanding of brand management, trademark law, positioning, new product process, voice of consumer and retail customers, competitive analysis, industry market intelligence, communication effectiveness measurements, and financial acumen
